Baggage without the drama at check-in

Your ticket decides your allowance. Here is how to read it and pack around it.

Find your real allowance

  • Look at your e-ticket or booking for the baggage line, often shown in kilograms or number of pieces.
  • Allowance depends on airline, route and fare type. Two people on the same flight can have different allowances.
  • Check the official site of your airline: PIA, airblue, SereneAir, AirSial.

Hand luggage

  • Keep passport, tickets, medicines, money and valuables with you.
  • Power banks and spare lithium batteries usually must travel in hand luggage, not checked bags.
  • Liquids on international flights are typically restricted in volume. Ask your airline.

Checked bags

  • Weigh bags at home. Re-packing at the counter is stressful.
  • Label each bag with your name and phone number, inside and out.
  • Food items, especially meat, dairy and seeds, may be restricted by the destination country's customs.

If a bag goes missing

Report it at the airline's baggage desk before leaving the arrivals hall, and keep your baggage tag receipt.
